How we can help you

How we can help

We believe in the power of education as a key to improving social mobility and now more than ever the importance of opportunity for talented pupils to access top quality education and training for all vocations regardless of socio-economic background.

We fund and support the education journey from beginning to end, to create the opportunities for talented students to succeed. Be it for specialist schools or to support and champion talented students through their A levels, University degrees or vocational courses.

If you have the talent but have a financial barrier, we can give you support you need to help you achieve.

For Learners

If you are a talented individual, but currently have an economic barrier to fulfilling your full potential, we are here to support and champion you by funding your education journey.

Perhaps you need funding to be able to access a vocational course or to secure your place at University studying a course that will put you in the best position to take the first steps on the start of a successful career.

We provide grants for people of varying ages towards the cost of their education and training – giving access to courses that change lives.

If your grant application is successful, it will normally be by way of a contribution to the course fees, paid direct to the training establishment, rather than incidental living costs – but rest assured our contribution will before the duration of your course.

Our four core tenets

Talent

Successful applicants will have been able to demonstrate their natural talents that can be fulfilled to their maximum potential with the right training.

Opportunity

The successful applicant will demonstrate that they have a firm offer for a training opportunity that is right for the applicant and gives the applicant the best possible opportunity to develop their talents to an exceptional standard.

Financial need

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate that without assistance from the Trust they are unable to take up the opportunity for training.

Sustainability

Successful applicants will also demonstrate that they have in place all of the other funding that they need in order to ensure that they can complete the training opportunity through to completion.

For Parents

We all want the best opportunities for our children and Collins Educational Trust wants to give access to the best, for talented children. Be that the best school education, the best University degree or the best vocational training.

You know what is right for your child and what they need to achieve, but if socio economics are a barrier to them accessing the best, that’s where we can help by funding their educational journey.

As an educator or careers advisor you will always go the extra mile for your students, recognising and championing talent is inherent to your role in shaping young people’s lives.  If you know a talented student that would greatly benefit from access to the best education or training, but socio economics is currently a barrier, we are here to support them and help realise the potential that you have recognised in them.
